Horseman’s Directory in the works
Wouldn’t you love to have a handy directory of who’s who in the local horse scene? Where you could find contact info for boarding and training barns, farriers, equine vets, hay and feed suppliers, and more?
The Georgia Regional Equine Enthusiasts Network (GREEN) is compiling a directory of horse people and businesses in Morgan and surrounding counties.
The directory will be published in the EquiFest/MadisonFest supplement in the April 15th Morgan County Citizen, and at www.morganequifest.com

Horses on Parade!
The Parade of Breeds is a true fan favorite at EquiFest. Showcasing the amazing variety of horse breeds in Morgan and surrounding counties, the Parade of Breeds will be back at EquiFest 2010.
From minis to ponies to drafts – our equine companions come in all sizes and colors. You’ll find well known breeds like quarterhorses and thoroughbreds, plus some of the rare breeds found locally like the Nokota.
Throughout the day these horses will enter the main arena to showcase their breed characteristics and talents. Interested in knowing more about a particular breed? Visit with owners and breeders in our Hall of Breeds – where you can see these beautiful animals up close.

April 24 - Save the Date!
Equifest 2010 is just 10 weeks away! A celebration of all things horse-y, Equifest is a showcase for the horse community in Morgan County and the surrounding area. The arena features everything from reining and dressage, to driving ponies and drafts, to roping and natural horsemanship. Veterinary and horse nutrition experts will be on hand to answer your questions. Our kiddie corral offers crafts and activities for the youngsters. Admission and parking are free, so come for a few hours, or come all day!
